Job summary

Allied Instructional is seeking certified Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs) in Albemarle County, Virginia for in-person work as independent contractors. You will join a team serving students with visual impairments in local school divisions and provide assessments and services to support IEPs.

The role requires a Professional License in visual impairment, knowledge of IEPs/504 plans, Braille and low vision skills, and collaboration with school staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Professional License in visual impairment.
• Preferred work-related experience as a TVI.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person TVI services to students in Albemarle County.
• Develop and implement IEPs for students with visual impairments.
• Assess students and recommend AT and low/high tech supports.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student learning.
