Job summary

The University of Southern California (USC) invites applications for a part-time Research Professor of Urology based in Los Angeles. The successful candidate will establish and maintain an independently funded research program focused on basic and translational research relevant to urology and human disease, within the Department of Urology at USC Keck School of Medicine.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree and demonstrate a strong record of scholarly achievement.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree and demonstrate a strong record of research training, scholarly achievement, and original scientific investigation.
• Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in genome science, biomedical informatics, and translational research, particularly in human disease genetics, functional genomics, and cell biology.

Responsibilities

• Establish and sustain an independently funded research laboratory within the Department of Urology.
• Build and lead a dynamic, highly productive research group addressing important questions in urology and human disease.
• Develop innovative basic and translational research projects and disseminate findings through scholarly publications and presentations.
• Contribute to the department’s collaborative research environment.
