Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work from a Council on Social Work Education accredited program, or a doctoral degree accredited by WASC or comparable accreditation.
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 semester credit hours in counseling, criminal justice, human services, psychology, social work, social welfare, sociology or other behavioral sciences.
• Extensive work experience may substitute for coursework on a year-for-year basis for Human Services Professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services such as counseling or referrals and monitor progress.
• Coordinate with hospitals, schools, social service agencies, and community programs to deliver services.
