Qualifications

• Independent researcher with a first-author publication or preprint.
• PhD in biology or related field; postdoc experience preferred.
• Fluency with bacteria, bacteriophages, molecular biology, microbiology, and bioinformatics.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent research projects advancing SEA's mission.
• Develop larger-scale research areas with SEA leadership and collaborators.
• Design and implement large-scale genomic and sequencing workflows.
• Run experiments, build pipelines, and interpret results.
• Publish and present findings in scientific venues.
• Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the SEA community.
