The physician will conduct exams, manage diagnoses, order tests, and coordinate treatments while ensuring compliance with state regulations and clinic policies. The role requires current NC medical licensure, board certification within 2 years (or eligibility), and DEA registration with CPR.

Qualifications

  • MD with residency in a primary care practice.
  • Must maintain current medical license with the North Carolina Board of Medical Examiners.
  • Board certified within 2 years of contract date or eligible.
  • Current DEA registration and CPR certification; ACLS or PALS may be required.
  • Valid NC driver's license for travel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care and perform complete physical exams.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies.
  • Develop preliminary diagnoses and therapeutic plans.
  • Administer medications and immunizations per guidelines.
  • Maintain and update patient records and prepare referrals as needed.
  • Coordinate with other health professionals and participate in staff meetings.
  • Promote patient confidentiality and high-quality service.
