Job summary

KJ Freight Alliance is seeking an Owner Operator Truck Driver – Independent Contractor to manage freight with flexibility and autonomy in selecting loads and routes. You will coordinate pickups, deliveries and communications with dispatch, while leveraging our load searching and rate negotiation support.

You choose loads based on your lanes and equipment, with no guaranteed weekly earnings, and benefit from dispatch assistance and carrier setup support.

Qualifications

• Own qualifying equipment and active operating authority required.
• Current commercial insurance and reliable communication channels required.
• Ability to provide required carrier documents and professional, dependable work ethic.
• Willing to communicate availability with dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with dispatch and select loads based on ownership and lanes.
• Engage in load searches, rate negotiation, and broker communications.
• Handle pickup/delivery coordination and determine applicable detention, layover, and TONU as applicable.
• Maintain prompt communication with customers and provide required carrier documentation.
