Job summary

America West Medical Transportation is hiring NEMT drivers to transport wheelchair or stretcher patients in fully equipped vehicles. The role may be solo or with a teammate depending on assignments.

You will operate independently in medical transportation, ensuring safe pickup and return home, while using transportation software and providing excellent patient service. On-call duties and clear communication with leadership are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license is required.
• Minimum 3 years of professional driving experience.
• Clean driving record (no more than 1 point).
• Pass a drug test and health screening (TB test, etc.).
• Pass a physical agility test.
• Must be able to lift/maneuver 50 pounds.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills.
• Ability to drive to various locations.
• Demonstrate professionalism and reliability.
• Proficient in using apps and electronic devices.

Responsibilities

• Independently run medical transportation operations in a company vehicle.
• Ensure patients are transported safely from home to service location and back.
• Utilize company transportation software.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
• Assume on-call responsibilities as needed.
• Effectively communicate with leadership.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
