Job summary

Casa Pacifica Centers For Children & Family seeks an Independent Living Skills (ILS) Specialist to support transitional age youth in Stepping Stones houses. You will empower youth to learn life skills, maintain safety, and foster a structured, caring environment. Position involves crisis response and collaboration with clinical staff.

The role requires 21+ years old, Live Scan clearance, CANRA awareness, and strong communication to promote independence and responsible living skills.

Qualifications

• The position requires staff to be at least 21 years old.
• Must complete Live Scan, criminal history statement, and TB health screening.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred; at least 4 years direct service with youth is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and interacts with emerging adults age 18–25 living in transitional homes.
• Model professional standards; enforce program rules and responsibilities.
• Provide a home‑like atmosphere while supporting program expectations and safety.

Skills

Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish)

First Aid & CPR certification

Motivational Interviewing

Crisis Intervention Training (CI)

Education

High School education

Bachelor’s degree desired
