Job summary

Mutual Inspection Bureau, Inc. (MIB) is seeking independent contractors to perform on-site insurance underwriting surveys for residential, commercial, and agricultural properties. This is a contract-based (1099) opportunity with compensation on a per-report basis, requiring a PC, internet access, and a digital camera.

Prior inspection experience is helpful but not required. Candidates should be self-motivated, capable of engaging with community members, and possess basic knowledge of home

Qualifications

• Independent contractor work (1099) for on-site inspections.
• Experience preferred but not required for inspectors.
• Must be able to meet and converse with people in the community.
• Basic knowledge of home construction materials and methods required.
• A PC, internet access and a digital camera are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site underwriting surveys for residential, commercial, and agricultural properties.
• Assess conditions and identify hazards that may lead to claims.
• Gather data to assist insurers in establishing replacement cost values for buildings and dwellings.
• Work volume may be part-time or full-time based on territory and business volume.
