Job summary

Iowa Home Consulting LLC is seeking an experienced Handyman to perform residential repairs, installations, and maintenance across customers’ homes in a flexible, independent role.

The handyman will handle Half-Day to Full-Day service appointments, adapt to prioritised tasks, and delivery a professional experience from arrival to completion. A broad skill set across trades and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Several years of residential construction, maintenance, remodeling, or handyman experience.
• Broad skill set across multiple home trades.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently in customers' homes.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Complete residential repairs, installations, maintenance, and small improvement projects.
• Work through Half-Day, Full-Day, and individually scoped service appointments.
• Perform a wide variety of work across multiple trades.
• Review appointment scope, photos, notes, and priorities before arriving.
• Arrive prepared with the appropriate tools and common materials.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners during the appointment.
• Confirm the client’s priorities before beginning work.
• Keep client informed if priorities change.
• Purchase or pick up materials when necessary.
• Document completed work and photos in internal systems.
• Perform a final walkthrough with the homeowner.
