About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) to join our established financial planning firm in a full-time employed position. Based near Huntingdon, this role is ideal for a dedicated professional looking to provide high-quality financial advice.

Role Overview

As an Independent Financial Adviser, you will deliver personalised financial planning solutions to clients, focusing on their unique needs. You will build and manage your own client portfolio while supporting an existing client base. A dedicated back-office team, including paraplanners and administrators, will assist you, allowing you to concentrate on achieving excellent client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver customised, holistic financial planning solutions by gathering and analysing client information to provide suitable recommendations.
  • Stay informed on new products, technical updates, and legislative changes within the financial industry.
  • Expand your client base through referrals, networking, and relationships with introducers.
  • Maintain high performance standards and comply with the firm’s Compliance, Training, and Competence procedures.
  • Uphold consumer-focused outcomes, adhering to regulatory principles and cross-cutting rules.
  • Achieve and maintain competent status as defined by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and hold a Statement of Professional Standing from an accredited body.
  • Maintain accurate records of Training and Competence and CPD activities.
  • Actively seek referrals from existing clients to grow your portfolio.

About You

  • Hold a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent qualification).
  • Possess strong knowledge of FCA compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain a commercial mindset to meet performance targets aligned with the firm’s objectives.
  • Exhibit professionalism, strong organisational skills, and attention to detail in all tasks.
