Job summary

Midwest Technical Inspections, Inc. is seeking experienced independent contractors to perform insurance underwriting inspections for commercial and residential properties, including workers’ compensation inspections.

You will visit insureds' sites, interview owners, measure buildings, take photos, and identify hazards to support underwriting decisions. Applicants must have an insured vehicle, access to high-speed Internet, and a digital camera.

• Strong oral and written communication in English.

• Mathematical aptitude; ability to see spatial relationships.

Responsibilities

• Travel to insureds' business sites to perform inspections.
• Interview owners and tour premises to assess hazards.
• Take measurements, photos and identify safety concerns.
• Gather information for underwriting inspections, including WC field inspections where applicable.
