Kuhlman Electric is seeking a detail-oriented Field Inspector on an independent contract basis to join our team. You will meet with city/town inspectors to ensure electrical installations meet local safety standards and represent the Kuhlman brand on site.

Responsibilities include on-site inspections, documentation, and professional interaction with homeowners and inspectors. This role offers flexible scheduling and mileage reimbursement, with branding and company gear provided.

Qualifications

• Active Journeyman or Master Electrician License (or recently retired with valid licensure credentials).
• Deep knowledge of residential electrical systems, NEC, and safe installation practices.
• Reliable personal vehicle for local travel, valid driver's license, and basic inspection tools.
• Professional demeanor, punctuality, and clear communication with homeowners and internal team.
• Ability to use a smartphone or tablet to manage schedule, view job details, and upload logs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct On-Site Electrical Inspections with city/town inspectors at residential locations.
• Complete post-inspection notes and brief reports; submit photo confirmations when needed.
• Represent the company professionally to homeowners and inspectors in branded apparel.
