The role requires independent judgment, technical expertise, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort. The Technologist will verify patient identification, ensure orders are correct, and document imaging procedures in the EHR with PACS uploads for radiologist interpretation.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of clinical ultrasound experience required.
• 2-4 years of clinical ultrasound experience preferred.
• Proficient in ultrasound imaging techniques and equipment.
• Commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Performs all ultrasound procedures independently, adhering to department protocols and ensuring high-quality, diagnostic imaging results.
• Verifies patient identification and ensures the appropriate procedures are ordered and acknowledged prior to conducting imaging.
• Documents imaging procedures and patient information in the electronic health record system, ensuring scans are uploaded to PACS for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment and adheres to infection control guidelines.
• Operates ultrasound equipment safely following departmental policies and manufacturer guidelines.
