Position Overview

TEAMLINGO is seeking fluent, bilingual interpreters as Independent Contractors for On‑Site and Over‑the‑Phone Interpretation to facilitate communication in the Greater Sacramento area, Stockton, Modesto, Fresno, and Yuba City, California.

This on‑call opportunity is for individuals who are flexible Komm eligible to accept assignments on an "as needed" basis.

Duties and Responsibilities convi

Provide professional interpretation in various settings, primarily healthcare, from English to the target language and vice versa.

Maintain a cultural understanding between parties with different cultural backgrounds to facilitate better understanding.

Assist individuals with limited English skills in completing necessary forms.

kleinere maintain a professional attitude and provide excellent customer service with clients, patients, and co‑workers.

Submit required timesheets, invoices, and other documentation on a regular basis as required.

Maintain confidentiality of all personal or healthcare information and issues learned during interpretation as specified and required by palace.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Fluent in English and a second language as listed above, with strong reading, writing, and speaking skills.

Exhibits excellent listening and speaking skills sufficient to interpret completely and accurately.

Holder of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Successful completion of a medical terminology or legal/language examination.

Ability to work during regular business hours and flexibility to work on weekends.

Ability to travel to multiple locations within the specified region and possess a reliable means of transportation and a valid California Driver’s License.

Previous professional interpreting training and/or experience is preferred民.\

Knowledge of medical terminology and the healthcare and legal systems and professional standards is preferred.
