Job summary

Hackbarth Delivery Service, Inc is seeking independent contractors who own or lease a Cargo Van, Sprinter Van, or Box truck to partner with us. You will deliver goods locally and beyond, providing exceptional customer service while navigating routes and coordinating with dispatch teams.

The role is a 1099 contract with flexible schedules Mon–Fri and occasional Saturdays. You must meet vehicle, insurance, and background requirements and be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs in a

Qualifications

• Must own cargo van and be 21+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Auto insurance: 100/300/100 or $1,000,000 general.
• Live within a 30–40 minute radius of the terminal.
• Background and drug screening required.
• Proficiency with navigational devices.
• Professional delivery experience preferred.
• Knowledge of local roads and routes.
• Ability to lift and handle heavy packages (up to 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Provide extraordinary customer service.
• Safely operate a cargo van, sprinter van, or box truck to deliver goods.
• Ensure secure and timely transport of cargo following safety and traffic regulations.
• Communicate with dispatch and clients to coordinate deliveries and maintain service quality.
• Load and unload cargo as needed with proper handling.
• Operate smartphone and GPS technology as required.
• Occasional furniture assembly and appliance installations may be required.

Earning Potential

• Vehicle Type: Cargo Van/ Sprinter Van
• Total Miles: 50-150 Miles locally or 150+++ miles out of town
• Total Stops: 10-13

Schedule

Monday – Friday with occasional Saturdays. Start and end times may vary depending on the route.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and handle heavy packages (Up to 50lbs).
• Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Must be able to provide extraordinary customer service.

Prerequisites

• This is a 1099 position, and contractors must currently own a cargo van.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Automobile Insurance Requirements:
  • A minimum of 100/300/100 or general coverage of $1,000,000.
• Contractors must live within a 30 to 40-minute radius of the terminal.

Qualifications
