Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an Anesthesiologist for an independent contractor (1099) role in the Central Valley, CA, with coverage across Modesto, Manteca, and Stockton facilities. The position emphasizes autonomy, collaboration with perioperative teams, and flexible OR scheduling.

Providers will handle a diverse case mix, including general, orthopedic, OB, urology, and vascular cases, with strong perioperative support and streamlined workflows to optimize patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Completion of Anesthesiology Residency.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified; current medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures.
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent.
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients.
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitor patient physiological status and perform interventions as needed.
• Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Education
