Job summary

Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center is seeking an experienced Cardiac Anesthesiologist to deliver specialized cardiac anesthesia services for complex surgeries and procedures on-site.

The role requires coverage across weekdays, weekends, and holidays with on-call and call-back commitments, and close collaboration with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams while adhering to VA policies and credentialing.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with anesthesia board eligibility or certification.
• Completion of accredited Anesthesiology Residency and Cardiac Fellowship.
• Current BLS/ACLS; mandatory TEE credential.
• Active U.S. medical license; experience in complex cardiac anesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent cardiac anesthesia services for complex cases.
• Participate in weekday, weekend, and holiday coverage.
• Document anesthesia in the VA EHR and ensure credentialing requirements.
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
