The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania—via the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services—seeks an Automotive Mechanic at South Mountain Restoration Center. You will diagnose and repair cars, trucks, tractors, and other equipment, working to keep the facility's vehicles and essential machinery in top condition.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade.
• Completion of an approved apprenticeship.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair cars, trucks, tractors, and other equipment.
• Repair brakes, transmissions, clutches, and other mechanical components.
• Maintain and repair emergency generators and air compressors.
• Perform Pennsylvania state vehicle inspections.
• Complete welding, brazing, and minor body repairs as needed.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
