Job summary

VENU+ is seeking a dependable Independent Service Contractor to maintain and repair arcade games, mobility scooters, electronic lockers, and other guest-facing equipment throughout the St. Louis area.

This is not a desk job; you’ll work independently across theme parks, zoos, casinos, malls, museums, and entertainment venues—diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and operational problems, performing preventive maintenance, and keeping equipment running for guests to enjoy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven experience as a maintenance repair contractor in a similar industry.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Detail-oriented and ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, and on call.
• Provides own tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and operational problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
• Troubleshoot arcade games, mobility equipment, kiosks, lockers, and related systems.
• Clear coin jams and replace fuses, bulbs, batteries, switches, and other common components.
• Inspect equipment and catch potential problems before they cause downtime.
• Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment safely.
• Clean and maintain equipment to VENU+ and customer standards.
• Complete weekly cash collections, meter readings, and local bank deposits when assigned.
• Record repairs, parts used, meter readings, and service notes through a mobile reporting system.
• Travel between assigned customer locations and represent VENU+ professionally.
