Job summary

One Alkaline Life, LLC in Maryland seeks a licensed acupuncturist to join as an independent 1099 contractor. You will evaluate patients, formulate treatment plans, and administer acupuncture to manage pain, PTSD and anxiety, coordinating with VA Community Care referrals.

Work with a collaborative team, enjoy scheduling autonomy, a fully equipped clinic, and flexible hours. Compensation is hourly with commissions on insurance and VA reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Maryland license to practice acupuncture required or MD/DO license with acupuncture certification.
• NCCAOM certification for L.Ac. tracks.
• Graduation from ACAHM-accredited acupuncture program or equivalent.
• Clean background check and VA CCN/major payor credentialing eligibility.
• Active professional liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient medical histories and diagnose energetic or physiological imbalances.
• Administer acupuncture using sterile needles and modalities like cupping or moxibustion.
• Collaborate with mental health therapists, nurse practitioners, and massage therapists.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant charts and VA reimbursement documentation.
• Educate patients on holistic wellness, stress management, and lifestyle adjustments.
• Adhere to OSHA, CNT, and local sanitation guidelines.
