Job summary

BJC Independence Center is seeking a licensed clinician or CADC/CRADC to deliver Individual Therapy and Group Education within an Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment program in the St. Louis area.

The role involves on-site work at the Independence Center with some community travel 1–2 times per week and collaboration with ITCD supervisor and peer support specialists. Responsibilities include individual therapy sessions, group education, multidisciplinary meetings, and ongoing treatment plan

Additional Information About The Role

• Shift information: 8 AM – 4 PM (there is flexibility here, someone could also work a 9 AM - 5 PM Shift)
• Team Dynamic: The counselor interacts most often with the ITCD supervisor and community support and peer support specialists. The team has a positive working dynamic and is very supportive. Multi-disciplinary meetings are held once a week.
• Case Load size: 10-15 active therapy clients, 30 total clients enrolled in the program that this role interacts with for outreach and assessments
• Location: On-site at the Independence Center and requires some travel in the community (St. Louis City and County) as needed. Travel could be 1-2 times per week to client homes. Work from home allowed as needed and appropriate based on clients’ needs
• Must be fully licensed OR has a CADC or CRADC certification (certified alcohol and drug counselor)
• Job responsibilities: Meet one-on-one with clients for therapy sessions. Plans and leads group education and group therapy sessions. Will lead multi-disciplinary meetings and guides discussion on client progress and plans for continued improvement and support. Completes annual biopsychosocial assessments for all ITCD clients. Completes annual ITCD assessment for all clients. Creates, modifies, and reviews treatment plans for all ITCD clients. Supports ITCD supervisor in monitoring fidelity. Provides clinical guidance and support to fellow ITCD team members.

Overview

BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. François, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Responsible for providing ongoing treatment to persons identified with Co-Occurring Disorders. Maintain fidelity standards for Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment program.

Responsibilities

• Clinical supervision for IDDT team members to receive CCDP certification from Missouri Certification Board.
• Plans and conducts Individual Sessions, Group Education and Group Counseling in accordance with IDDT fidelity standards.
• Completes Co-Occurring Evaluations in accordance with IDDT fidelity standards.
• Reviews, signs and contributes to co-occurring people’s treatment plan.
• Maintain and monitor fidelity to the Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment program.
