Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Incoming Quality Inspector for the Receiving Inspection team on the 1st shift at the Wendell, NC facility. The role focuses on incoming material inspection for Production Solutions products, coordinating with logistics to verify supplier quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience with inspection of electrical and mechanical components.
• 3+ years’ experience with reading and understanding mechanical blueprints.
• 3+ years’ experience with inspection of welded components using welding symbols/tolerances per mechanical blueprints.
• 3+ years’ experience working with tape measures, calipers, and height gages.
• Full proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Proven record in Quality and Productivity.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate inspection tools with peers, factory personnel and 3rd party suppliers to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with purchasing and engineering teams to resolve non-conformances with materials used in finished goods.
• Drive continuous improvement activities with own team and other departments.
• Use SAP, Salesforce.com and Microsoft Excel in daily tasks.
• Adhere to all safety rules and keep safety first for self and others.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
• Be a strong team player.

We are looking for an Incoming Quality Inspector for our Receiving Inspection team on the1st shift. This position will be based at our Wendell, NC facility.

This inspector position is responsible for performing incoming material inspection duties on our Production Solutions products, working alongside our logistics team to ensure and verify supplier quality.

Shift Hours: 6:00AM- 2:30PM

Hourly Rate : $24.79

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience with inspection of electrical and mechanical components
• 3+ years’ experience with reading and understanding mechanical blueprints
• 3+ years’ experience with inspection of welded components using welding symbols/tolerances per mechanical blueprints.
• 3+ years’ experience working with tape measures, calipers, and height gages
• Full proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Proven record in Quality and Productivity
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer – sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Residential or commercial electrical and mechanical education or certifications
• 5+ years of prior work experience in warehouse receiving and inspection
• Forklift experience
