Job summary

DeWinter Group is seeking an Incoming Quality Control Technician for an onsite 6-month contract in South San Francisco, CA. You will perform incoming material testing, conduct dimensional inspections, and verify parts against engineering drawings to uphold safety and performance standards.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with calipers and micrometers, a technical quality education, and a background in regulated manufacturing environments such as aerospace or medical devices.

As an integral part of our quality assurance team, you will conduct incoming material testing, perform detailed structural inspections, and interpret engineering drawings to uphold rigorous standards. Your meticulous approach and technical skills will help scale our quality processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills:
  • Proven experience with hand tools, including calipers and micrometers, for precision measurement
  • Strong visual, dimensional, and functional inspection skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T callouts
  • Familiarity with inspection of composite materials, such as carbon fiber, is a plus
  • Accurate documentation skills within quality management systems
  • Background in regulated manufacturing environments like aerospace, medical devices, or automotive industries
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with composite material inspection
  • Knowledge of load-and-stress testing equipment
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement projects
Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Technical diploma, certification, or equivalent experience in quality inspection or manufacturing
  • Prior experience in a high-precision manufacturing or aerospace setting
Additional Requirements:
  • This position is onsite in South San Francisco, requiring physical presence at the facility
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Immediate availability for a 6-month contract with potential extension
