Job summary

City of Eden Prairie is seeking a part-time Recreation Inclusion Companion to support individuals with disabilities in general recreation programs. This on-site role assists with adaptations, supervision, and safety, reporting to the Senior Recreation Supervisor.

Hours are flexible with 1–28 hours per week Sept–May and up to 40 hours/week June–August. Starting pay is $15–$19 per hour; candidates must be 15 or older and able to obtain First Aid/CPR before day one, with strong communication and

Qualifications

• Must be 15 years of age or older.
• Previous experience in recreation, education, or related field preferred.
• Must be current or able to become certified in First Aid/CPR prior to first day with campers.
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs and assist campers in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Promotes skill development of participants with disabilities and adapts activities for inclusion.
• Assists participants in self-management, communication, and independence.
• Provides high-quality customer service, greeting participants and coordinating with guardians.
• Supports program instructor with setup/take down and activity implementation.
