Job summary

Buckeye Elementary School District is seeking a Paraprofessional A - Self-Contained (Inclusion) at McCain Elementary in Buckeye, AZ. The role supports special education teachers, assists with IEP implementation, behavior monitoring, and personal student needs in an inclusion setting.

The position is a non-exempt, 10-month role with a 6-hour workday, reporting to the Site or Program Administrator. Base pay begins at $17.09 per hour with incremental increases by experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire.
• AZ DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Experience with students with severe needs preferred.
• Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instruction and classroom materials.
• Provide services in inclusion settings and various classrooms.
• Supervise students in playground, lunchroom, and bus areas.
• Assist students with personal care and daily activities as needed.
• Support PBIS implementation and behavior monitoring.
• Prepare instructional materials and learning centers daily.
• Monitor and document student progress and attendance.
• Assist in administering District and State tests when required.
• Collaborate with teachers to differentiate instruction for each student.
• Maintain accurate records of student work and outcomes.
