Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington, D.C. is seeking an experienced Senior Incident Response Analyst to respond to cybersecurity incidents and proactively prevent their recurrence.
You will apply functional knowledge to resolve incidents and work with government clients to improve IR processes. Responsibilities include analyzing complex threats, coordinating with auditors, drafting clear reports, QAing team submissions, and maintaining Public Trust eligibility as required.

Resp ond to cybersecurity incidents and proactively prevent the reoccurrence of these incidents. Apply specific functional knowledge to resolve cybersecurity incidents. Analyze or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance.
5+ years of experience with incident response
Experience with handling and resp ond ing to an APT or FIN actor and responding to cloud-based threats in an IR capacity
Experience with working directly with clients in a professional demeanor
Experience with Microsoft Defender EDR
Knowledge of SOC best practices
Ability to work with government staff to suggest and implement process improvements and work with auditors to resp ond to and resolve identified issues in the IR processes
Ability to author clear and robust reports and review and ensure QA of team member submissions
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Experience with Splunk
Experience with GitHub
Experience with Archer
Ability to review work from junior analysts and provide feedback for growth

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
