Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Cybersecurity Practitioner for Paid Expert Interviews (SOC, Incident Response, Detection, AppSec). This remote contract role pays $125–$175 per hour and involves participating in scheduled one-hour interviews over a four-week period with Mercor's team.

Ideal candidates have current or recent enterprise security experience, including SOC/IR/engineer roles, and familiarity with EDR and SIEM stacks such as CrowdStrike, Defender, and Splunk.

Qualifications

• Current or recent experience in enterprise security roles such as SOC analysts, incident responders, or security engineers.
• Experience with EDR and SIEM stacks like CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Defender, Splunk, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Participate in two to three one-hour video conversations with the Mercor team over four weeks.
• Discuss the tools and processes used in enterprise cyber defense work.
• Evaluate how AI assistance currently impacts your work and suggest improvements for AI benchmarks.
• Review and provide feedback on our draft task taxonomy for accuracy and relevance.
• Share insights on measuring the effectiveness of triage, investigation, and other security tasks.
