Job description

Main Office, Camp Hill, Lancaster, or North Shore office

Work Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Additional hours as needed to fulfill department needs.

Function: The primary focus of this role is to lead the designing, implementing, and maintaining S&T Bank incentive plans that optimize employee recruitment, retention, and performance, as well as maximize the organization’s profitability through strategic partnerships with line of business leaders. The ideal candidate should exhibit strong communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and consult on incentive plan design and governance for line of business leaders, adhering to best practices and balancing risk.
  2. Design, develop, and document incentive plan programs ensuring alignment with business goals and clarity for participants.
  3. Collaborate with internal partners (e.g., Compensation, HR, Risk Management, Business Clients) and provide expert guidance on compensation matters.
  4. Evaluate the effectiveness and competitiveness of incentive plans and model potential impacts of alternatives.
  5. Draft plans, educational materials, and communications to inform associates, managers, and HR partners about incentive plans.
  6. Audit and analyze internal compensation practices in relation to regulations; develop corrective recommendations and ensure compliance.
  7. Prepare procedures and audit responses to ensure accurate incentive plan administration and documentation.
  8. Maintain updated knowledge of industry incentive metrics, strategies, and standards to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
  9. Develop and establish incentive governance standards, processes, and training for effective oversight.
  10. Lead strategic compensation projects and key initiatives across client groups.
  11. Demonstrate thoughtful leadership and maintain strong working relationships within the organization.
  12. Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Education: A four-year bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or human resources; a master’s degree in related fields is preferred. Certification such as CCP is a plus.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of general business experience plus 5+ years in Compensation, payroll, and payroll systems.

Physical Demands: Operate keypad devices for 80-90% of the day; sitting for 90-100%. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
