Job description

Inbound Sales Specialist

Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused Inbound Sales Specialist to join a growing healthcare technology company. This is an opportunity for a sales professional who knows how to turn inbound inquiries into qualified opportunities and wants to develop their skills in consultative selling and closing.

This is not a traditional cold-calling role. You will primarily engage with prospects who have already expressed interest, understand their needs, explain relevant solutions, and guide them through the early stages of the sales process.

You should be comfortable managing a high volume of leads, conducting sales conversations over the phone and video, and following up consistently to keep opportunities moving. The ideal candidate combines strong communication skills with a competitive mindset, disciplined organization, and a desire to achieve measurable results.

You will initially work alongside an existing sales team, qualifying prospects and advancing opportunities. As you gain experience and demonstrate strong performance, you will take on greater responsibility for managing your pipeline and closing customers.

What You’ll Do
Inbound Sales & Lead Qualification
  • Respond promptly to inbound inquiries and engage prospective customers through phone and video conversations.
  • Understand prospects’ needs, challenges, and goals through thoughtful questions.
  • Qualify leads based on their needs, level of interest, and suitability for the company’s services.
  • Identify customer pain points and determine appropriate next steps.
  • Explain the company’s offerings and communicate their value clearly.
  • Prioritize incoming leads and manage a high volume of prospect interactions.
  • Schedule sales conversations and ensure qualified opportunities are passed to the appropriate team members.
  • Maintain a positive and professional experience throughout each interaction.
Prospect Engagement & Follow-Up
  • Follow up consistently with interested prospects to maintain engagement and move opportunities forward.
  • Re-engage prospects who have not responded or need additional time to make a decision.
  • Address initial questions, understand concerns, and identify potential objections.
  • Keep track of conversations, commitments, and follow-up deadlines.
  • Manage multiple prospects without losing track of important opportunities.
  • Support the sales team during periods of high inbound lead volume.
  • Ensure every qualified prospect has a clear next step.
CRM & Sales Pipeline Management
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including contact details, call notes, activities, and opportunity status.
  • Document prospect needs, qualification outcomes, and follow-up plans.
  • Keep sales information organized and current.
  • Track sales activities and progress against established performance targets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve lead response times, follow-up consistency, and conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with sales colleagues to maintain visibility across the pipeline.
Growth Into Sales Closing

As you develop product knowledge and demonstrate strong performance, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Take ownership of qualified sales opportunities.
  • Conduct discovery calls and sales conversations independently.
  • Present solutions that address specific customer needs.
  • Handle objections and guide prospects through purchasing decisions.
  • Manage your own pipeline and maintain momentum toward closing.
  • Take increasing responsibility for closing customers against agreed sales targets.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
  • At least 1–3+ years of experience in inside sales, sales development, business development, or a comparable customer-facing sales role.
  • Experience handling a high volume of leads, prospect interactions, or sales conversations.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • A confident, professional phone presence and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience qualifying prospects and identifying customer needs or pain points.
  • Strong follow-up habits and the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Experience working toward sales quotas, conversion targets, activity metrics, or similar KPIs.
  • Experience using a CRM to track prospects, sales activities, and follow-ups.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn new products and explain their value to prospective customers.
  • Self-motivated, coachable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Based in the United States and available during U.S. business hours.
Strong Plus
  • Previous experience in inbound sales or lead qualification.
  • Experience conducting discovery calls or consultative sales conversations.
  • Experience advancing opportunities or closing deals.
  • SaaS or technology-enabled services sales experience.
  • SMB sales experience.
  • Healthcare technology sales experience.
  • Experience managing short sales cycles and high lead volumes.
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Previous experience in the specific industry is not required. We value strong sales fundamentals, consistent execution, and the ability to learn quickly.

Working Style

You should enjoy engaging with prospects, asking questions, understanding customer needs, and helping people determine whether a solution is right for them.

This role requires someone who understands that speed and consistency matter in inbound sales. You should be comfortable balancing multiple conversations, prioritizing leads, and following through without constant reminders.

You should also be motivated by measurable performance and willing to use coaching and feedback to improve. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work rather than simply completing assigned calls or tasks.

What Success Looks Like

Success means responding promptly to inbound inquiries, qualifying prospects accurately, maintaining consistent follow-up, and helping the sales team convert interest into opportunities.

As you grow in the role, success will also mean managing a pipeline independently, leading effective sales conversations, handling objections, and closing customers against agreed targets.

If you’re organized, persistent, customer-focused, and motivated to grow your sales career, we’d love to hear from you.
