Job summary

BMO U.S. is seeking a Remote Fraud Inbound Agent to be the first point of contact for customers reporting suspected fraud, unauthorized transactions, and card-related concerns. You will investigate activity, authenticate customers, assess risk, and execute risk-based actions to protect clients and the bank.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and elevate suspicious activity, emerging fraud trends, and high-risk situations to appropriate support teams.
  • Resolve customer inquiries while balancing customer experience with effective fraud risk management.
  • Meet established service level, quality, productivity, and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with internal partners and support groups to resolve complex fraud cases and customer concerns.
  • Maintain knowledge of fraud trends, bank products, procedures, and regulatory requirements impacting fraud operations.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to improve fraud processes, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
  • Apply sound judgment and critical thinking to make risk-informed decisions that protect customers, bank assets, and the organization’s reputation.

This role is responsible for investigating potential fraud activity, authenticating customers, assessing account risk, and making informed decisions to protect clients and the bank from financial loss while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Salary

Salary: $40 500,00 - $80 000,00 Pay Type: Salaried The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position. BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
