Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Lexington, MA, seeks a Research Associate to lead strategy implementation and operations for non-clinical in vivo studies, coordinating PK/PD experiments and reporting findings for drug evaluations.

Responsibilities include designing experiments, optimizing protocols (ISH/FISH, IHC/IF), and communicating results to internal teams and regulatory stakeholders. Strong collaboration and translational mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 8+ years’ relevant experience.
• With an Associate or Vocational degree, 4+ years’ relevant experience.
• BS/BA with limited to no experience.
• Familiarity with in vivo models for non-clinical studies.
• Experience in experimental design and the use of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in drug discovery.
• Strong scientific communication skills, including the ability to present and interpret in vivo data.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a translational mindset in exploring new technologies.
• A team player who thrives in a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Strategy implementation and operations for non-clinical in vivo studies.
• Drug candidate screening, hit identification, and lead optimization.
• Design/conduct experiments to understand mechanism of siRNA.
• Optimize multiplexed ISH/FISH and IHC/IF protocols.
• Molecular biology methods: RNA/protein extraction and analyses.
• Summarize non-clinical in vivo studies in reports for internal/external use.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support drug evaluations.
