Actalent is seeking a Pharmacology Associate I for an on-site, full-time role in Groton, CT. The position focuses on executing in vivo studies across rodents, canines, and non-human primates to advance preclinical drug discovery, with collaboration across cross-functional teams in a compliant lab environment.

You will gain exposure to translational pharmacology and industry-standard practices while upholding high standards of animal welfare and data integrity.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or master's degree in pharmacology, biology, biomedical sciences, animal science, or related field.
• Hands-on experience conducting in vivo studies in vivarium and laboratory environments.
• Experience performing animal research procedures in rodents; willingness to work with dogs and non-human primates.
• Ability to work both independently and within a cross-functional team.
• Strong organizational skills and data integrity in documentation.

Mansioni

• Execute in vivo pharmacology studies for obesity, metabolic, and cardiovascular disease programs.
• Conduct multi-species studies (rodents, canines, non-human primates) per SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Perform animal research procedures including handling, dosing, biospecimen collection.
• Assist with study execution: data collection, sample processing, tissue collection.
• Analyze data using standard scientific software and maintain documentation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with IACUC, AAALAC, USDA, and OLAW standards.
• Communicate progress and results to team members and stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of workflows and laboratory practices.
