Job summary

Radiology Forward is seeking an In Suite Assistant to support MRI technologists, ensure patient safety, and help with efficient workflows in a fast-paced imaging environment.

You will assist with patient prep, screening, and documentation, while maintaining a clean, compliant MRI suite and coordinating with the team. A healthcare background and BLS are required; CNA/MA preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved MRI Technologist Assistant program with clinical hands-on training.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of experience in a healthcare or medical setting.
• Strong computer and time management skills.
• CNA or Medical Assistant designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support MRI Technologists and Radiologists to promote patient safety and efficient workflows.
• Comply with HIPAA guidelines and safety guidelines for a clinical environment.
• Assist in coil positioning, MRI safety screening, patient observation, and procedure prep.
• Collect and document patient histories and record in the EMR.
• Maintain a clean MRI control room and decontaminate equipment and rooms.
• Greet and guide patients through MRI, answering questions.
• Assist with patient positioning, gowning, IV removal, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with MRI staff and site leadership to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate delays and schedule changes to front desk and team.
• Attend trainings, meetings, and quality control activities.

You Will:

• Support MRI Technologists and Radiologists to promote patient safety and efficient workflows
• Comply with all HIPAA guidelines, confidentiality guidelines, and safety guidelines for a laboratory/clinical environment.
• Assist in coil positioning, MRI safety screening, patient observation, and procedure prep
• Collect and document accurate patient medical histories and record them in the EMR
• Maintain a clean and safe MRI control room and decontaminate coils, equipment, and exam rooms
• Greet and guide patients through the MRI process, putting them at ease and answering questions
• Administer oral contrast under the technologist direction and provide instructions as needed
• Support technologists with coil setup, suite cleanup, and supply stocking
• Help screen patients and verify exam documentation
• Assist with positioning patients, gowning, removing IVs, and providing discharge instructions
• Collaborate with the MRI Steering Technologist and site leadership to ensure smooth operations
• Communicate delays and schedule changes to the front desk and team
• Attend required trainings, meetings, and quality control activities

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved MRI Technologist Assistant program, including clinical hands-on training
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Strong computer and time management skills
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) designation (preferred)

Pay Range: $20-$24 per hour
