Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking an In-Store Shopper to prepare customer orders for delivery or pickup. You’ll shop the store for produce, meat, dairy, and more, with a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

This role supports the Customer Service & E‑Commerce teams and emphasizes accurate, timely order fulfillment. You'll use handheld devices to process orders and need excellent customer service and multi-tasking abilities to thrive in a busy store environment.

Qualifications

• No retail experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Sufficient English language proficiency to prepare and shop customer orders.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills online orders efficiently, accurately and with urgency using handheld devices or fixed devices.
• Ensure product and order accuracy through meticulous verification and quality control processes.
• Learn and apply product knowledge, customer service standards, and store operations to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Keep staging area organized and free of clutter.
• Handle in-store and online order returns and pickups.
• Comply with government regulations such as age verification for restricted items.
• Assist with customer inquiries and provide store information.
• Maintain knowledge of product and promotional events.
• Maintain a positive work environment.
• Communicate clearly, collaboratively and courteously.
• Attend all meetings assigned by Leadership, including daily huddles.
• Support company programs and initiatives, including varied checkout options and all product assortment, tools, and technology.
• Maintain safety and store security protocols.
