Job summary

Dyson Institute is seeking a motivated Service Technician for an on-site role in Los Angeles. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Dyson products in person, while engaging customers with consultative questions to identify the best repair or replacement options.

You will promote Dyson accessories and services, manage transactions, and document service details accurately. The role requires solid communication skills, teamwork, and a customer-first approach in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience in customer service, retail sales, service operations, or related environments.
• Ability to communicate confidently with customers, including in objection handling or service discussions.
• Aptitude for learning technical diagnosis and repair procedures.
• Curiosity to uncover hidden product needs and provide clear guidance for long-term solutions.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-person diagnosis, troubleshooting and repair of Dyson products.
• Use consultative questioning to understand customer needs and recommend solutions.
• Communicate repair findings and replacement options clearly to customers.
• Promote Dyson products, accessories and services through cross-selling.
• Provide excellent customer service and manage customer expectations in real time.
• Process transactions and service details accurately in Dyson systems.
• Complete daily/weekly operational reporting and maintain parts/inventory accuracy.
