Job summary

IKEA USA in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Safety & Security professional to protect people and property and to conduct audits and trainings. The role entails responding to emergencies, maintaining alarms and safety systems, and reporting incidents.

This permanent, full-time position requires 34–40 hours per week with open scheduling across 5AM–10PM. Eligibility for a security guard license where required by local law is noted for certain states.

Qualifications

• 1 year work experience.
• Retail experience in safety, security, or loss prevention preferred.
• Candidates must be eligible to obtain a security guard license in Oregon, New York, and St. Louis, MO where required by local law.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the safety and security of people and property per local regulations.
• Completes safety, security, and compliance audits and trainings.
• Maintains critical safety equipment such as alarms, radios, and security systems.
• Reports and follows up on incidents that occur.
• Responds to and coordinates emergency situations in work areas.
