Job summary

Wegmans in Sterling, VA is seeking an in-store KBS + Events Lead to connect Food Education, service, and events with the Wegmans mission. You will lead a cross-functional team delivering knowledge-based service and weekend/community events to create engaging customer experiences.

The role emphasizes coaching, training, and building personnel capable of delivering personal meal solutions and product knowledge to shoppers.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience in food service, grocery or retail.
• Experience coordinating programs, events or initiatives across multiple departments or areas.
• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workload.
• Ability to teach and train others.
• Passion for food and people with enthusiasm to learn more about the product.
• Experience coordinating daily work of others.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of Weekends at Wegmans, seasonal events, and community events within the store, partnering with store departments.
• Recruit, build, and develop a high-performing selling and events team with Store Leadership.
• Coach employees with feedback, development opportunities, and ongoing training in cooking techniques and selling skills.
