Job summary

The Winn-Dixie Company in Saint Augustine, FL is seeking an Inventory Specialist FT to support inventory management, in-stock levels, merchandising standards and expense control. The role focuses on accurate stock checks, audits, and daily operations to keep store standards high.

You will perform store walks, assist in planning the inventory process and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and company policies while delivering courteous service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Proficient with computer applications used in effectively operating the department.

Responsibilities

• Creates an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated increasing confidence and loyalty. Performs daily and weekly store walks, audits and ensures reports are completed to confirm product in-stock conditions are at company standards.
• Completes daily and weekly administrative tasks (communications, online training, etc.) Assists in the planning, and organizing of the inventory process. Ensures reclaim, transfers, discards, and date checks are handled to reduce shrink. Reviews and researches excessive back-stock to determine root cause and correct the data if needed.
• Promotes trust and respect among associates by collaborating, promoting teamwork, and communicating company, department, and job specific information. Adheres to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelines.
• Ensures company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation and productivity are maintained. Adheres to all regulatory compliance requirements pertaining to food safety, USDA & COOL, and DOA. Executes all product recalls and withdrawals in a timely manner while ensuring all items are secured and removed from customer access.
