The Hay-Adams, a celebrated downtown Washington, D.C. hotel, is seeking staff to provide excellent guest service. The role focuses on in-room dining and amenities, delivering orders to guest rooms, and performing assigned side-work while maintaining a high standard of sanitation and cleanliness.
Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and basic English proficiency. Physical requirements include standing, frequent lifting, and the ability to work flexible shifts.

Provide excellent guest service according to The Hay-Adams standard. Prepare and deliver In-Room Dining orders and amenities to guest rooms, execute designated side-work. Maintain a high standard of sanitation and cleanliness.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have good working knowledge of the English language - ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guest and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

$15.63 - $15.63 an hour
The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held. Base pay is one component of B. F. Saul Company & Affiliates total compensation package, which also includes access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans and more
