Job summary

The University of California, Irvine (UCI) School of Medicine, Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology seeks Family Medicine/Internal Medicine/Preventive Medicine candidates for a full-time faculty position as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor (level based on experience) for an In-Residence position.

The division is part of the Department of Family Medicine and focuses on patient care, education, and research to improve health of older adults, with care sites at UCI

Qualifications

• MD/DO/MD-PhD with appropriate clinical training and experience.
• Board certification in Family Medicine/ Internal Medicine/ Preventive Medicine and interest in Geriatric Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Develop research linking clinical practice for older adults to dementia prevention and treatment.
• Collaborate with Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Population Health to develop interdisciplinary education.
• Participate in local, national and international geriatric associations and organizations.
• Ambulatory patient care practice.
• Fellow supervision, residency teaching and precepting medical students.
