Job summary

Tutor Me Education in California is seeking California In-Person Tutors to provide personalized 1:1 academic support in students' homes or approved settings. Responsibilities include adapting lessons, supporting reading, writing, math, and study skills while tracking progress and communicating with families where applicable.

Flexible, part-time hours are available, with compensation ranging from $25 to $35 per hour based on experience and credentials.

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring or teaching youth in various settings.
• Enrollment in accredited college/university or higher degree in Education, Psychology, or related fields.
• Strong communication, patience, empathy, and adaptability.
• Spanish or other languages are a plus.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-impact tutoring 1:1 or small group sessions based on student needs.
• Adapt lessons to match learning style, level, and goals.
• Support reading, writing, math, study skills, and related subjects.
• Collaborate with families and school teams as applicable and track progress.
• Build positive relationships and serve as a mentoring role model.

Education
