Novastar Prep in Arlington, VA is seeking an experienced Reading Comprehension and Writing Tutor to provide in-home, one-on-one instruction for a high-achieving 11th-grade student. The tutor will focus on reading comprehension, written expression, note-taking, and information organization, tailoring strategies to ADHD and executive functioning needs, with goal of measurable progress.

• Minimum of 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
• Experience working with students with ADHD strongly preferred.
• Strong background in high school reading comprehension and academic writing.
• Patient, organized, and skilled at breaking complex tasks into manageable steps.
• Reliable transportation for in-home tutoring in Arlington, VA.
• Ability to commit to at least one academic semester.
• Ability to pass a background check.

The ideal tutor is patient, encouraging, and experienced in supporting students with ADHD and executive functioning challenges. Instruction will focus on strengthening reading comprehension, written expression, note-taking, and information organization through structured, individualized teaching strategies.
