Job summary

Augsburg University invites applicants to join a rotating pool of adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate physics courses for the 2026-27 academic year. Most classes are held during the day, 2-3 days per week, in-person on the Minneapolis campus, with responsibilities including grading, office hours, and ongoing communication with the course coordinator.

Successful candidates will demonstrate intercultural competency and a commitment to inclusive teaching practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in physics is required.
• PhD in physics or related field is preferred.
• Experience as instructor of record is desirable.
• Commitment to student engagement and equity in diverse classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate physics courses and assess student learning.
• Provide grading, feedback, and timely responses to student inquiries.
• Hold regular office hours and communicate progress with the course coordinator.
