Job summary

Concorde Education collaborates with schools and community organizations to provide enriching drone piloting programs for elementary through high school students.

We seek instructors for part-time, independent contractor assignments; in-person at partner schools in California, with opportunities rolling throughout the year. Prior drone operation and aviation experience are valued, and diverse professional backgrounds are welcome.

Qualifications

• 60 completed college credits or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience operating drones or unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).
• FAA Part 107 remote pilot certification is valued and may be required for some assignments.
• Experience teaching, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, or leading youth programs.
• Strong communication, leadership, and group-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate drone piloting and technology instruction.
• Introduce students to safe drone operation, flight mechanics, navigation, and aviation concepts.
• Lead hands-on flight exercises, challenges, demonstrations, and STEM activities.
• Prepare for sessions using provided curriculum or approved lesson plans.
• Adapt instruction for varies ages and levels of drone experience.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment and supervise students.
