Job summary

Salt Lake Community College is seeking an adjunct Mathematics Instructor to teach college-level math courses for career/technical and transfer students, on Redwood or other campus locations. The role is pooled; reviews occur as positions become available.

Adjunct positions are offered semester-by-semester with no guarantee of continued employment. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in mathematics or related area with 18 graduate hours in mathematics.

Official transcripts required for those offered employment within 30 days of hire.
Adjunct positions are offered semester-by-semester with no guarantee of continued employment.
Ability to implement successful pedagogical strategies for the teaching and learning of mathematics.

Responsibilities

Implement successful pedagogical strategies for the teaching and learning of mathematics.
Follows course curriculum outlines; prepares and delivers lectures and classroom activities.
Keeps accurate classroom records.
Coordinates Student ADA accommodation requests following college policy and procedures.
Answers student questions and provides feedback on student progress.
Supports department assessment initiatives.
Meets deadlines and evaluates student work in a timely manner including submitting final grades on time.
Follows SLCC policies and procedures and FERPA guidelines.
Maintains professional boundaries with SLCC students.
Maintains an on-site campus presence to foster in-person relationships and meaningful learning experiences.
