Job summary

Austin Peay State University invites applications for a full-time 9-month instructor position in the Department of Biology. This renewable, non-tenure track role begins July 30, 2027 and involves face-to-face teaching at Clarksville and/or Ft.

Campbell campuses, with potential for summer teaching. The instructor will teach 24 workload credits per academic year, coordinate introductory anatomy and physiology courses, supervise GTAs and student workers, and participate in committees to advance

Qualifications

Must have a Master's degree or higher in Biology or related field.
Ph.D. in Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, or related field preferred.
Demonstrated success as a teacher with three or more years of experience teaching anatomy and physiology.
Background check will be required of the successful applicant.

Responsibilities

Teach 24 workload credits per academic year (Fall and Spring).
Coordinate BIOL 2010/2011 and BIOL 2020/2021 courses and maintain course materials.
Supervise GTAs and student workers teaching A&P labs; serve as instructor of record where needed.
Serve on department/college/university committees relevant to the position.
Assist in recruitment, retention, and student success initiatives.
