Job summary
SUNY Suffolk is seeking in-person Adjunct Instructors in Drafting to begin Fall 2026 at the Ammerman Campus in Selden, NY. Ideal candidates have an architectural background and can teach basic CAD in AutoCAD and 3D modeling in Revit.
Courses include DRF112 - Technical Drawing/Basic CAD and DRF218 - Architectural Drafting: Presentations. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s in architecture or architectural technology, two years of professional AutoCAD/Revit experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or architectural technology is required.
- Two years of recent professional experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit required.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD 2023+ and Revit 2023+ for 3D/2D drafting must be demonstrated.
Responsibilities
- Teach DRF112 - Technical Drawing/Basic CAD and DRF218 - Architectural Drafting: Presentations.
- Develop and deliver lecture plans and course materials; assess student work and provide feedback.
- Ensure alignment with industry standards and SUNY Suffolk curriculum requirements.
