Job summary

JPMorganChase in Newark, NJ, is seeking a Margin and Collateral Specialist within Market Operations to support bilateral OTC derivative collateral requirements and settlements. You will process margin calls, maintain client relationships, and collaborate across Front/Middle Office and core processing teams to resolve issues.

This role requires the ability to work five days in the office, strong time management, and a proactive mindset to drive risk mitigation and improve client services.

Responsibilities

• Remain client focused, able to work independently under strict deadlines with limited supervision, be control oriented.
• Process efficiently and accurately both outgoing and incoming margin calls and provide transparency to the client on the margin call when needed.
• Ensure all transfers agreed are eligible under the appropriate legal document.
• Respond to client inquiries, and when needed, coordinate with the appropriate Front/Middle Office as well as the core processing area in order to facilitate resolution.
• Identify and resolve client disputes related to both collateral and trade settlement discrepancies.
• Perform Risk Mitigation (Operational, Financial and Reputational).
• Maintain and build excellent relationships with both internal partners and external clients.
