Job summary

Empire State Development is seeking an IT security professional to monitor critical information security infrastructure and assist the Cyber Incident Response Team. You will work with Security and Network teams to uphold cybersecurity standards and protect ESD assets.

The role requires in-office presence with possible hybrid schedules, as aligned with ESD policy. A bachelor's degree in IT and 3+ years of related experience are expected, along with security certifications in progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an IT field with 3+ years of related experience.
• Alternatively, a 2-year degree with 5+ years of related experience.
• Security certifications are required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support security infrastructure and SIEM solutions.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and help remediate findings.
• Assist with incident response and forensic analysis of suspicious activity.
• Support IT disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Create and maintain SOPs and security documentation.
